Brief Description of 1.5x0.6mm Diamond Hole Expanded Metal

1.5x0.6mm aperture micro expanded metal is made from 0.1mm thickness metal plate by uniformly slit and stretched,forming 1.5x0.6mm micro diamond opening in the metal sheet. For its uniform small openings and flat surface,it is widely used for headphones grille, speaker grille, phone speaker grille, battery mesh and other filtration support etc.

Materials	Characteristics
Stainless steel 304	Standard grade with high rigidity,tensile strength and corrosion resistance; resists tearing during expanding. Ideal for general industrial grates, facades, and filtration support.
Stainless steel 304L	Low-carbon version; reduces work-hardening and prevents micro-cracks at the mesh joints (knuckles). Offers superior secondary welding and fabrication.
Stainless steel 316	Molybdenum-bearing alloy with exceptional resistance to pitting in chloride, brine, and acidic environments. Best for heavy-duty marine and chemical grates.
Stainless steel 316L	Combines 316's corrosion resistance with low-carbon ductility. Eliminates post-weld intergranular corrosion, ensuring maximum lifespan under harsh conditions.
Steel	Highly economical with excellent malleability for raised/flat types. High strength makes it for industrial flooring and security fencing (when coated).
Copper	Highly ductile and easy to expand into fine mesh. Features superb electrical/thermal conductivity and a premium look for RFI shielding and decorative architecture.
Brass	Harder and more abrasion-resistant than pure copper due to zinc content. Holds its shape exceptionally well under load-bearing stress for decorative grilles.
Aluminum	Lightweight with an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. Highly malleable and corrosion-resistant, making it perfect for architectural ceilings and sunshades.
Nickel	Specialized alloy with outstanding resistance to caustic alkalis and high heat. Widely used for precision electrode substrates in fuel cells and batteries.

Form Types

Expanded metal is generally formed in standard(raised) type or flattened type.

Standard Expanded Metal is directly slit and stretched by punching machines without other processing,The strand width and bond come in with an angle with the plate surface. This kind structure increase the strength and hardness of expanded metal,it also brings better anti-slipping and reinforcing performance.

Flattened expanded metal is formed by flattening process based on standard expanded metal. Its strand width and bond are in the same horizontal plane with plate surface. Compared with standard expanded metal,the plate thickness will be thinner and opening will be larger.

Packing

Expanded metal should be packed firmly and securely.When packing,expanded metal appears in roll type and flat type.They are packed in wooden pallets generally.Each pallet load 1 ton-2.5 tons and wrapped with plastic film. We can also pack according to customer requirements.
